SHIPPING and RETURNS POLICY
 
We can ship products anywhere in the United States or internationally using the shipping method of your choice. A shipping method can be selected during checkout.
 
Shipping Guidelines
After an order is made you will receive a confirmation email stating that your order has been received.

LeRoy Fly Tying typically ships items using USPS - United States Postal Services and UPS - United Parcel Service.

Most items will typically ship in 1 to 3 business days. If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you if and when the item(s) are available to ship. Any changes to your order will be sent to you via e-mail. When an item ships, a shipment confirmation email is sent to the email address you specified. Typically we will be able to ship temporarily out of stock items in 5 to 10 business days.
 
Shipping rates are calculated in real-time according to official USPS and UPS rates. Shipping fees are based on the weight of the order and the distance being shipped. When you check out, you will have the option of selecting your shipping priority on the Order Confirmation screen. Your order total will automatically be updated to reflect whichever shipping rate you choose.


 
International Shipping Costs and Methods
International orders are typically shipped via USPS (United States Postal Services) and are usually shipped between 5-7 business days, depending on available international shipping options for selected destination country.
 
International customers are responsible for customs and import duties.
 
International shipping charges are based on several factors, including total price of items, the weight of the package, and its destination. All additional taxes, fees, tariffs, import fee, and surcharges levied by destination countries are the responsibility of the customer. LeRoy Fly Tying cannot determine in advance the amount, if any, that will be charged. Please check the customs house of your respective country to determine if any additional charges will be applied to your order.

If you refuse to pay customs charges on an incoming shipment, it will be returned to LeRoy Fly Tying at our own expense. We will then deduct the charge, as well as any additional customs charges, from the refund of the original purchase price.

When shipping products outside the US, it can be somewhat costly. Postage is determined by weight, size of package, and service used. The shipping costs are not determined by the items price. When the weight of the box increases, the shipping price will also increase. If ordering multiple items, they may require a larger box or may not fit in the same box and multiple boxes may be required so the shipping costs will increase. You should use the shipping calculator or inquire prior to purchase for shipping rates. You should include important information in your inquiry such as city/state/postal code/country , items of interest, quantity, etc.

Not all items can be shipped into other countries due to weight/size restrictions on packages and customs restrictions. It is highly recommended that you check with your customs office before purchasing to see if the items can be imported into your country. Your country should have a website that will tell you what can/cannot be imported. 

Please do not ask to mark merchandise values below value or mark items as ‘gifts’ - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Duties/taxes/brokerage fees/customs/VAT/ importation fees are charged at time of delivery. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. The customer is responsible for those charges at delivery. These should not be confused with additional shipping amounts.  The receiving customer is the importer.  Usually the carrier will not release a package until those are paid or they (the shipping carrier) may send you a bill at a later date for those fees. Fees vary by each country. Please review and check those before you purchase so you are not surprised later at delivery.  

Most items that ship international are usually sent by USPS (United States Postal Service) USPS but some are sent by UPS. USPS does not have a real time tracking system like UPS.. Sometimes the Post Office 'may' scan an international package, but most times they do not. If you check on USPS with your customs declaration number, it may bring back a message that there is no record of mailing. That message does not mean it was not mailed. The post office just has not made a scan on it at that point and there is no way to know if/when they will scan it. Really the only mail class for USPS that has 'tracking ' is express mail which can be costly and some do not offer this service.  UPS has higher brokerage/import fees at delivery than those of USPS, but UPS offers real-time tracking, a service the USPS does not provide. USPS does usually take longer to deliver than UPS. but the brokerage/import fees are often less than UPS.

Please remember that international packages will take longer to arrive then domestic orders as the package is traveling a further distance. Once the parcel is in your country, it will also pass through your customs office which can add time to the delivery. Customs can hold a parcel for several weeks and open up packages for inspections. Usually international packages arrive somewhere within 4 weeks but can take longer depending on the Post Office and customs clearance and there is nothing sellers can do to speed up the process. Please allow sufficient time for your package to arrive.

Please do not assume that if your international package has not arrived within 10 days that it is "lost' . You need to allow time for your package to arrive. Thousands of packages travel with the post office daily.  The seller cannot control the speed of delivery with the carrier and from our experience, lost packages are very rare. Please be patient as they take time to arrive. 
 
Shipping Restrictions
UPS is unable to deliver to International APO/FPO addresses as well as P.O. Boxes in many cases. USPS usually is able to deliver to many of these addresses domestically. For special ordering, please contact us.

Overnight Shipping
Overnight shipping orders must be received before 3:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) to guarantee next day delivery, or the item will be shipped the following business day.
 
Weekends and Holidays
LeRoy Fly Tying does not ship during the weekends. Orders received after 3pm on Friday, or anytime on Saturday or Sunday, will not be shipped until the next business day. LeRoy Fly Tying also does not offer Saturday delivery on any expedited orders. Expedited orders placed on Fridays will not be delivered until the following business day.
 
LeRoy Fly Tying will be closed for all Federal Holidays, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. All orders received after 3:00 PM on the previous business day may not be processed until the following business day.
 
RETURNS/EXCHANGES

No returns accepted without a Return Authorization Number. A Return Authorization Number may be obtained by calling our office. Merchandise must be returned complete and in its original condition. Return requests must be made within 5 days of receipt of the merchandise. A 15% restocking charge will be applied on returns. All stock items are returnable, however custom dyed items are not returnable. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. After we have received your return, inspected the items, and approved the items for a refund, we will credit the approved refund amount to the credit card or PayPal account used to place the order within 14 days. 

Exceptions for Returns
    * Only non-clearance and non-sale merchandise may be returned within 7 days from date of shipment.
    * Items marked FINAL SALE or CUSTOM DYED are not returnable or refundable
    * Items being returned must have all of the original items, tags, packaging, and manuals.
    * Items must have no defects that inhibits the resale of the item as new.


Special Order Items
Special order items may not be returned unless defective. Special order items include:
    * Items that are not regularly stocked by LeRoy Fly Tying and must be ordered from our suppliers.
    * Out of stock items that must be ordered from our suppliers.
    * Any item costing $100.00 or more. 

Exchanges
Exchanges can be made within 10 days from the date of shipment for the same item. To make an exchange, please contact LeRoy Fly Tying to receive Return Authorization Number (RAN) (number to be placed on returning package). You can use the phone number listed below or e-mail orders@leroyflytying.com.
Next, simply send your exchange back to us using the insured carrier of your choice. Once the item(s) are received, your exchange will be processed.

Defective/Damaged /Missing Items
Orders that are found to be defective, damaged or missing items may be returned or exchanged if insurance was purchased. Any claims for defective, damaged or missing items must be received within 2 business days of receipt of order. If a 'lost claim' is needed, you will be required to work with the seller during that process. If you requested and purchased insurance for your order, a claim can be made, however, we cannot begin to file a 'lost claim' until 45 days have past from the shipment date. This is a requirement of the insurance company/carrier. The customers would also be required to submit a lost claim form that is signed/dated 45 days after the shipment date.
 
International Returns and Exchanges
International exchanges & returns work in the same way as domestic exchanges & returns, but do not include prepaid return labels or refund return shipping costs. For international exchanges, customers are responsible for paying all shipping costs on the exchanged item(s).
